Dominika Hofman

Born on February 8, 1986 in Stargard Szczeciński. She graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk, Faculty of Painting and Graphics, started in 2006 in the Studio of Basics of Drawing and Painting of prof. Maria Skowrońska. She defended her diploma in the studio of prof. Maciej Świeszewski, October 6, 2011. Master’s thesis “Reflected spaces” written under the supervision of Dr. Michał Woroniecki, appendix of workshop graphics with prof. Zbigniew Gorlak. During her studies, she received a 1st and 2nd degree scholarship. She has presented her works at numerous exhibitions in Poland and abroad, including post-competition exhibitions.

She completed a painting animation course at the BreakthruFilms Studio and worked on the film “Loving Vincent” since 2014. This first full-length painting animation won many prestigious awards, including an Oscar nomination. In her painting, she mainly uses the traditional technique of oil painting, which she combines in her latest painting cycle with watercolor undercoats. In her painting, she delves into the world of colors and emotions. Creativity is full of the play of lights. The artist lives and works in the Tri-City.
